The z₀ data series contains height data relative to the water level of a river. The measurements were made perpendicular to the river bed, at a distance of one meter from each other.

For the road built next to the river, a horizontal plateau must be created, which is connected to the terrain with vertical retaining walls. The height of the road above the water line (h=10 m) and the distances of its inner and outer edges from the river (d₁=12 m and d₂=28 m) are given as parameters.
- Plot the original [ x, z₀ ] and the modified [ x, z₁ ] slopes!
- Calculate the amount of soil extracted from the cut and required for filling per river meter!
- Determine the height of the road (h) when the earthwork does not require transportation (excavation equals filling)!
Wells must be drilled for drainage. The groundwater level is the same as the river level (±0.00). A Mini pump is sufficient for a smaller height difference, a Midi pump is required for a depth of 8 m or more, and a Maxi pump is required if the depth of the well reaches 16 m.
- Create an auxiliary table containing the above data!
- At each measurement point, determine the required pump type using the auxiliary table!
- Display the number of pumps per type in the auxiliary table!
- Show the ratio of the pump types on a pie chart!
Since in this case the number of measured points is given, the data can be handled in a table also.
